Mark 11:25 Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him drop the issue, let it go so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings against Him and others. AMP
GOD wants to answer our prayers. Bitterness and unforgiveness are one of the major blocks to answered prayer. As we are praying for this nation and for Donald Trump, we can be very passionate and protective of him and that is a good thing. God has put a love in our hearts to pray for him and keep him covered. At the same time, we have just come through a very intense and heated election battle. God showed up and vindicated His prophets! We aren’t crazy! We heard the heartbeat of God and shouted it from the rooftops even in the midst of persecution.
PROPHETS FOR TRUMP Facebook Group was born out of adversity and we are still adverse to the world’s mindset but we keep proclaiming, exposing, decreeing, declaring and building and restoring. Our challenge is to check our hearts to see if we have any bitterness, unforgiveness or hatred towards those who either betrayed, spoke against, mistreated, misunderstood, lied about and expressed hatred towards Donald Trump or even towards ourselves as we fought for truth and righteousness along the way. Sometimes that bitterness and feelings of contempt creep in because we may have taken personal offense as persecution came against us personally or the presidential candidate we supported. These seeds of contempt can begin to rear its ugly head in our thoughts, conversations, intents and desires of the heart. We are human like everybody else and not exempt from being infected ourselves with hurt and pain that leads to bitter root judgments.
We as prophets and prophetic people are passionate about truth and exposing everything that is in darkness and is a trademark of this group of peculiar people who are many times misunderstood and outcasted as being too harsh. Because we are still human, we must guard our hearts even in the midst of pain and persecution, holding up the standard of love in all we do. It can be a challenge. But you are not misunderstood by God. He understands your hardcore passion that sometimes goes into overkill, but He still leads and guides, correct and disciplines, sharpens and loves you.
We see things that most people don’t see. We see behind the surface of the deep and we see hypocrisy and fake masks so clearly that it makes us really mad and we have no problems saying it like it is. Righteous anger wells up and before we can ask God what to do with it, our soul takes over and we begin to speak out of the soul without restraint and even though we are right in many of the things we see, the spirit in which we deliver truth may not be as sanctified as you think.
God wants us to speak the truth, expose the deeds of darkness and stand up for righteousness sake. He also wants us to keep our soul in check, subjected to the spirit of God inside of us so that we respond responsibly. We don’t have to be politically or religiously correct. But we do have to be accountable. After all, we carry a powerful weapon inside of us that can do great good or bring great damage. We are the snipers of the military of God. We go in for the kill and we also need to train like a skilled sniper if we are to hit our targets. If not, we throw knives aimlessly and kill the wrong target who are innocent casualties.
We are carriers of the SWORD OF TRUTH and we are required to be responsible with that sword, to know how to wield it with precision like a surgeon who has the power of life and death in his hands to save or kill his patient in life or death surgery. We have the power of life and death on our tongues. The church and the government almost killed our voice and we allowed it because of fear of man. We have said, “NO MORE! I WILL NOT BE SHUT DOWN AGAIN!”
We now carry a greater responsibility and God will hold us accountable but He also allows room for mistake. He is a loving Father who has given us the perfect example of how to act and react in every situation. But we never want to hold on to contempt towards each other, towards our persecutors, towards governmental officials and candidates who have misunderstood us, judged us, accused us or who bleed with corruption. No matter how corrupt a person is, we simply can’t hate them or hold contempt towards them. We are required to pray for them no matter how much we are disgusted with them. It proves the point as to why Jesus said to pray for those who persecute you. We simply are not accounted for righteousness if we only love those who love us. We don’t have to agree with our persecutors or haters and many times we have to expose them but it all must be motivated by love. All of it!
It is possible to separate the evil of a person’s actions from the person themselves. God does it and so should we. Guarding our hearts against the infiltration of the mindset of the world is key to answered prayer. If we do not forgive, we simply won’t be forgiven nor will our prayers be answered. As a group, we are here to pray and see God move! Ask God today to help you lay your heart at the altar and allow him to purify your passions like gold is tested in the fire. Let the impurities surface and be sifted out so that the purest form of prophetic prayers can become potent atomic bombs in the realm of the spirit and in the hands of God. God is calling us HIGHER and HIGHER means more accountability and responsibility and keeping our hearts free from contempt that leads to bitterness and therefore blocks not only our prayers but also our intimacy with God and others.
In the midst of utter hatred against Him, Jesus exemplified true love, accountability and responsibility knowing how to separate the evil acts from the individuals themselves as He laid His life down for each one and cried out just before He died where He said in Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” They may not know what they are doing or know the extent of judgment they put themselves in, but we do. And because we know better, we are the ones who can make a difference by being the example of Gods’ heart to the world that He called us to be.
In closing, I am reminded of this scripture because God says you are powerful and very much needed in the army of God!
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things which He has called me to do through Him who strengthens and empowers me to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am READY FOR ANYTHING and EQUAL TO ANYTHING through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace. AMP
